Question: Do these have a heavy rubber smell.
Answer: There are a few types of bottles, rubber with plasticisers, rubber without plasticisers, PVC and budget recycled rubber. A good quality rubber hot water bottle uses new rubber, these have a slight rubber smell which diminishes with use and over time. Not unpleasant but those who have an ultra-sensitive nose or have a latex allergy are best looking at a thermoplastic PVC hot water bottle. These are totally odourless from day one and are suitable for anyone with a latex allergy. The cheaper budget rubber bottles use recycled rubber which in raw state has a strong odour. To mask that strong smell they add a perfume which gives it a strange heavy perfume smell that never goes away and can make the bed smell. This bottle is manufactured to British Standard using new rubber and has just a slight rubber smell and is not unpleasant.
Question: Where is this hot water bottle made ?
Answer: This hot water bottle is from UK branded Vagabond, they are contract manufactured to their specification from China to British Standard and QC inspected on arrival.

Fast delivery to Ireland and very happy with bottle, wanted one with metal screw, nowhere stocks this type here now.
Unfortunately the hot water bottle had to be returned as it had a missing stopper and I wanted a bigger size
My previous bottle was from Argos, this is clearly superior to others so it was a pleasant surprise.
Like the size, not liking stopper, no rubber bung on it, would have been perfect otherwise.
Paid on Monday arrived Tuesday, money hasn't even left my account and it's already been used, lovely and hot. Thanks
