Question: Does it have a strong rubber odor?
Answer: I understand your concern with strong perfumed smell on some makes for hot water bottles. One of the reason some supplier do this is to mask the smell of recycled rubber, they add perfume to hide the awful smell of recycled rubber. All our hot water bottles are made from natural virgin rubber, it will have a slight rubber smell that dissipates with use. Recycled rubber should only be used for floor mats, electrical cables and other industrial uses, we would not recommend it for personal use. If you are very sensitive to smells we do also have odour free hot water bottles.
Been waiting to try one of these for a while, waited until my old faithful bottle gave up (stopper snapped) before buying. I like the longer lenght it gets further into the bed, don't like that it goes cold in less than 2 hours, my old hot water bottle was at least double that time and a bit more. I think I'll keep this one for my back, it's really good at that but I'll get a bottle for the bed to keep my feet warm.

Love my new long bottle, been wanting one of these and reading up them and seen some in shops but they felt scratchy. Finally decided to try this one and the first thing is it is heavy. The cover is thick material, more like my fleece jacket. Like the way I can put this around my legs at night, no cold spots and the best thing is it stays hot. V pleased.
The first to say about this is I have never had one before so can only give my opinion on using this one. It is quite different to my old bottle, feels heavy and solid with the cover keeping it very warm, it is very dense material. The heat comes out nicely and stays warm to nearly the morning. Filling up takes a bit of time as you cannot hold it over the sink as with a bottle, it took a full kettle! Overall I gave this 4 stars as the only downside was filling, it could do with a bigger stopper to make this easier.
