Using traditional rubber with classic ribbing on both sides gives diffused natural warmth that lasts for hours, heats up quickly for instant warmth, ideal to snuggle up to on when the temperature drops to stay warm and cosy. Was the largest we stocked with a very useful carrying handle, generous size and much larger capacity than standard size for wider heat area and with high rubber content giving greater protection. Because it is on the large size it will stay warm for longer than a standard sized hot water bottle and gives out plenty of natural heat. Question: Are the hot water bottles made in the U.K.?
Answer: The last UK manufacturer of hot water bottles closed over 20 years ago with production moving closer to rubber plantations. These are now located in Sri Lanka, India and China most still manufacture to British Standard and many using machinery shipped over from UK. With production now abroad there are no local factories but we have been able to bring covers back to UK. Many of our fleece covers are made in Britain using local factory that employ seamstresses and design and manufacture to UK high standards. All UK made covers will fit a standard hot water bottle that is made abroad. The other types or Eco-friendly bio based and PVC bottles are made in Germany. The bio based are made from renewable sugar can in cooperation with the Finneck Foundation providing a safe work for people with disabilities.
Question: Can i buy this hot water bottle in Liverpool?
Answer: Most shops and chemist stock a very small range, generally they will have a standard sized hot water bottle in perhaps one or two colours, you would struggle to find it locally. Our range is very comprehensive as we have the room and all year round support from hot water bottle fans across the world.
Question: Will I be able to fill this from a standard size kettle?
Answer: A standard kettle is generally 1.8L to 2.0L, this bottle capacity is 2.5L however never fill a hot water bottle to the top, always leave a gap, expel any air before sealing with the stopper. To get a fuller bottle it would need a full kettle plus a small top up.
Question: I have had trouble with water bottles that leak. Does this bottle have a traditional stopper with a rubber seal?
Answer: This large 2.7L rubber hot water bottle does have a rubber seal.
Had this hot water bottle just over a year and it split on the seam and leaked all over my bed, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID
Heats up fast and stays hot for a longer time than other bottles I've used before.
Happy customer, thanks very much :)
After reading other reviews it was better than expected when it arrived and tried out, it is bigger than most but I'm sure when I was a kid my hot water bottle used to be this wider size.
